The Unseen Man

A poem

Everywhere he goes
he is a man alone.
Unseen and unnoticed
in his own zone.

At times it is fun
being the seer.
When people have no shame
they can be freer.

He sees their joy.
He feels their loss.
He views their secrets.
He knows their thoughts.

But an unseen man
never can feel.
To touch is a dream
he cannot make real.

So he walks the streets
with pain in his heart.
With no companion
to share his part.

He hopes for love.
He wishes for contact.
He dreams of acceptance.
He yearns for contentment.
