Doors slam and locks click.
Sunshine that was once visible becomes a memory.
Days which were full of hope suddenly seem lifeless, pointless.
Flowers are shades of grey.
Faces appear disinterested.
My heart beats as a slow-motion drum.
Breaths catch, and tears wish to fall.
Get away, be alone, no other needs to see this.
They don’t understand.
I am just the grumpy man.
The negative one.
Unheard, misunderstood.
They hear the anger…
